When we apply closed cell spray foam insulation to open studwalls and rafter bays, it completely seals the building envelope against air infiltration and moisture intrusion. Energy bills are typically 20% to 50% lower with spray foam insulation when compared side-by-side with fiberglass batts. This insulation system improves sound attenuation offering quieter interiors. Spray foam insulation improves the structural rigidity of walls to better resist wind and earthquake loads.

Advantages of Spray Foam Insulation

  • Greatly reduce energy bills
  • Eliminate Air Infiltration
  • Stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter
  • Improve sound attenuation
  • Keeps pollen and dust out
  • Requires smaller air conditioning and heating equipment
  • Strengthens walls, floors & roofs
  • Will never sag, shrink, or settle
  • The most "Green" insulation on the market

Architectural Advantages

High density spray foam insulation has some unique advantages for Architects. Since it stops air movement, vent holes are no longer required for rafter bays. Also, because it has about twice the R value of fiberglass, 2x4 studwalls can be used in place of 2x6 studwalls where insulation requirements govern wall thickness. Spray foam insulation allows projects to achieve high LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) ratings and also comply with Title 24 energy compliance requirements.
