Gable

(1) A triangular portion of the endwall of a building directly under the sloping roof and above the eave line.

(2) The end of a building as distinguished from the front or rear side. The triangular end of an exterior wall from the level of the eaves to the ridge of a double-sloped roof.

Gable-Shaped Roof

A single-ridge roof that terminates at gable end(s).
