Low Profile HVAC

Low Profile HVAC Images

The images below illustrate Low Profile HVAC projects completely by Dura-Foam Roofing. In the photos below, the HVAC systems were installed on existing BUR (Tar and Gravel) roof substrates. Air ducts with a maximum height of 8" were installed flat on the existing roof surface to eliminate duct visibility from the street. This low profile duct system is far more reliable and energy efficient than conventional duct systems which are traditionally installed above the roof surface. Once the ductwork is encapsulated in the foam roof system, it is covered under the roof systems leak-proof guarantee. Also, the foam roof system's insulation and cool roof qualities virtually eliminate potential energy losses throughout the duct system.

When your home has no attic, or an open beam ceiling, a low profile duct system is the most efficient way to install an air conditioning system. Also, if your home has a failing radiant heat system, upgrading to a modern HVAC system will provide year-round comfort while saving money on utilities. Your low profile HVAC system will include the industry's most reliable furnaces and air conditioning equipment manufactured by Carrier or American Standard.

What is HVAC?

HVAC is pronounced either "H-V-A-C" or "Eich Vac" by contractors in the USA. HVAC stands for: Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning. HVAC is used in both commercial and residential settings. Simply stated, an HVAC system heats or cools by creating airflow, or adds comfort simply by increasing airflow. Key principles driving the technology behind HVAC include thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. HVAC can regulate and control factors such as temperature, humidity, and overall airflow.
