Foam Roofing: Protect Your Investment by Recoating

Our foam roofs will easily last over 20 years with no maintenance. However, the Dura-Foam roof system is engineered to last well over 40 years. Adding an additional layer of coating at the optimal time will increase roof life of your foam roofing system in an affordable manner.

Increasing Roof Durability
Get 40+ years of roof life with only TWO recoats!

5 & 25 Foam Roofing Maintenance Plan

A Dura-Foam roof will last over 40 years with only TWO recoats. The first should be applied at year 5 and the second at year 25. The first recoat needs to be installed early at year 5 so that the original foam roofing system will be protected from staining, sun, wind, and rain. The recoat layer absorbs the harmful wear and tear of the elements while the underlying roof continues to work like new.

Recoats Last 20 Years Each

  • Year 5 - Apply the 1st Recoat
  • Year 25 - Apply the 2nd Recoat
  • Year 45 - Apply the 3rd Recoat

The Foam Roofing Surface is Similar to a Hardwood Floor

The surface of a foam roof is similar to the finish on a hardwood floor. The time to resurface a hard-wood floor is before the protective coating has worn away and allowed the wood to suffer. Delaying a recoat curtails the roof's total life expectancy. The key to a renewable foam roofing system is to never allow degradation of the original foam roof. This is accomplished with the 5 & 25 plan. It's simple, apply the first recoat at year 5 and the second recoat at year 25. The oldest foam roofs, which are over 40 years old, have proven the 5 & 25 plan to work.
