Our products are free of the solvents and formaldehydes that burden many buildings with poor indoor air quality. The Dura-Foam System is composed entirely of non-toxic chemically inert products. Since all work is done from the outside of the building, life on the interior can proceed as usual during the constuction process. The blowing agent used in the Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) contains no chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's). The polyurethane foam cures within just a few minutes and the elastomeric coatings dry in just a few hours. However, we usually recommend that customers wait a couple of days before walking on new roofs to assure that the coatings have sufficient time to harden.

The Dura-Foam Roofing System is environmentally friendly.

The elastomeric Cool Roof coatings we use are acrylic based, just like interior wall paint. The main difference is that our coatings contain a lot more acrylic solids that allow them to be applied much thicker and also help them stay flexible with extreme exposure to weather and rain. The SPF used in the Dura-Foam System has molecular composition similar to that of memory foam, which is used in high quality matresses (except memory foam is not closed cell). Because the material is safe to sleep on, you can "rest" assured that it is safe enough to put on your roof.
